As far as recreations, there is the town favorite park called Forest Park where a variety of fun and refreshing activities can be found. Forest Park is complete with a band shell that host events and shows; it also has a golf course and paths for jogging, running, skating and trail riding. With its splendid living amenities and exciting destinations just a few short miles away.
A hidden neighborhood in Queens...
In addition to Shops At Atlas Park, there are some local stores stretching along Myrtle Ave like bakeries, meat markets, and of course the staple of the neighborhood Zum Stammtisch, a German restaurant that continues to be the spotlight in Glendale Queens. Glendale doesn’t have any parks to call its own, but you have easy access Forest Park and its Golf course, and while you’re at it don’t forget to check out Finback Brewery to kick back and relax.
While Glendale has several elemantary schools of it own, it doesnt have any immediate high schools in Queens.

P.S 91 Has approximately 757 students from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. According to the Department of Education’s 2016-2017 School Quality Snapshot, 36 percent of its students met state standards in math, compared with 42 percent citywide; 35 percent met standards in English, compared with 40 percent citywide.
For those living on the far west side of the neighborhood closer to Ridgewood, the M train is within walking distance at the Fresh Pond Road station. It takes roughly 40 minutes before the train weaves through Lower Manhattan. The L train, at the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station, is also an option, though it is a few blocks farther west.
But since much of the neighborhood is not within walking distance of a train, residents rely heavily on the buses, including the Q55 and Q29. The QM24 and QM25 provide express service to Manhattan during the week, taking 40 to 60 minutes to get to their final stops.
